Happy Friday!! We’ve made it through another week and are on to the weekend! I am extra excited because my favorite linkup is back today. The ladies behind Five on Friday have brought back the linkup and I am so glad because I love reading everyone’s Friday Five! Without further ado, here is my Five on Friday.

Congratulations are in order to some of our friends from college, Mary and Taylor, on the birth of their baby girl this week! Baby Addy was born yesterday which happened to also be Mary’s 30th birthday so she received an extra special present this year! They are currently living overseas so it will be a while before we get to meet their sweet baby, but we are so excited for them! Mary is also a blogger so be sure to check out her blog here.

Wishing a happy birthday to a very special lady, my Nannie! This week was my grandma’s birthday and she deserves a special blog shout out because she is simply the best! I know everyone thinks their grandparents are the best, but I truly have been blessed with the greatest grandparents! I love my Nannie and Papa more than words and they are so special and dear to my heart. My grandma was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and it has been one of the saddest things ever watching her deal with this disease. I always thought Alzheimer’s was just memory loss but it is so much more than that. It breaks my heart knowing she wakes up every day not knowing who she is or where she is. My grandpa is the sweetest and takes care of and loves her so well! They are true gems and the best role models of Christian marriage and parents I could ever look to! Thanks to my Aunt Susan for sending me this picture from Papa’s birthday in June. My aunt also helps take care of Nan and gives so much of her time to everyone! I look up to her a lot!

I’ve talked about my love affair with La Croix many times on the blog before, but I have a new favorite flavor and wanted to share for those of you who haven’t tried it. Passionfruit La Croix is my jam! I’m pretty sure it’s a Target exclusive flavor so unfortunately you can’t buy it everywhere, but trust me on this one it’s worth a trip to Target! Not that any of us need more excuses to go to Target, ha!

Another thing I’m currently loving is Twisted Baker’s cheesecake! It’s a good thing I don’t live any closer to this place because I might just stop in a little too frequently. I fell in love with their cheesecake earlier this year and just took my friend Jacki for her birthday last weekend. Please check out how thick the graham cracker crust is on this thing! If you live in the Chicago area, do yourself a favor and head to The Twisted Baker. Side note: they also have key lime pie with the same delicious graham cracker crust!

I finally ordered myself a monogrammed pullover sweatshirt from Marley Lilly when they were on sale a couple weeks ago and it arrived this week! I can’t wait to wear this all season long! It matches perfectly with the hat I purchased from them last year.
We have a wedding to go to on Saturday, but other than that it should be a pretty low key weekend around here. Whatever you are up to, I hope you enjoy your weekend!
Linking up with Christina, April, Natasha, Darci, Lauren, Karli, and Amy.

I really need to get on the La Croix bandwagon! I walked passed a display of it the other day and failed to pick any up. Thanks for the tip on the passionfruit being at Target!
