Happy Friday! For today’s Friday Five I am featuring some of my recent eats. Let’s just jump right in shall we?
ONE | Last week I decided to give zucchini boats a try. I made a pizza version with tomato sauce and mozzarella and they were so good and super easy! Definitely will be making these again.
TWO | Another meal I made last week were black and blue salads. I grilled flank steak using this marinade and I picked up some blue cheese from our local cheese market. I topped the salads with some roasted asparagus, sautéed onions, and drizzled them with Trader Joe’s balsamic glaze. Delicious!
THREE | I’ve been eating greek yogurt with berries and granola for breakfast this week and picked up this granola at the store. If you like banana bread, then you’ll love this granola! This is definitely going to be in my regular breakfast rotation.
FOUR | Speaking of breakfast, a couple of Saturdays ago when Kevin was out of town I treated myself to breakfast in bed. I made an oat protein pancake and topped it with maple syrup and strawberries. Is there anything better than breakfast in bed? I need to do this more often.
FIVE | If you’re looking for a donut fix this month, Glazed and Infused just opened a new location in the loop (222 N. LaSalle) and they are giving away free donut holes with purchase of a coffee during the entire month of May. Yes, please!
