Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. It was H-O-T here in Chicago which gave me a preview for what our vacation in South Carolina is going to be like in a few weeks. I don’t know how all of you who live in the south deal with the heat and humidity – it’s brutal! Despite the heat, I had a very relaxing couple of days off which was nice.
FRIDAY | Kevin and I met for dinner in the West Loop at Little Goat and I ordered a Blueberry Gazpacho with Tatziki which was so good and perfectly refreshing for the hot night.
Kevin had his last class for summer school on Thursday so celebrated with a chocolate shake. π
SATURDAY | Kevin was gone all day for his friend Matt’s bachelor party which meant I had the day to myself and I purposely made no plans! I walked to Prairie Bread Kitchen in the morning to get an iced coffee before heading back home for a lazy morning of catching up on my TV shows on the DVR.
I spent most of the afternoon out and about running errands including stops at Costco and Target.
I spent the evening giving our condo a much needed cleaning before ending the night watching The Carrie Diaries on Netflix.
SUNDAY | We went to church in the morning where we celebrated over 100 baptisms in Lake Michigan at our church’s annual summer celebration. Afterwards Kevin and I met my sister for brunch at Jam in Logan Square. This was our first time dining here and it proved to be a great recommendation from James. I ordered the Lemon-Cured Lake Trout Quiche with Pickled Red Onions and a Bagel Chip Panzanella which was awesome!
The Logan Square Farmers Market is right outside of Jam so we walked around there and ended up buying some beautiful tomatoes that I can’t wait to eat. They also had tons of gorgeous berries!
We also stopped in Owen + Alchemy and sampled some yummy juices. I ended up buying a Blueberry, Basil, and Lime juice that I plan on using to make popsicles with this week.
Our last stop on our Logan Square tour was to Bang Bang Pie where we picked up a piece of Key Lime Pie to go.
We spent the rest of the day relaxing at home and I watched some more of The Carrie Diaries while Kevin took a nap. We eventually ended the night with our Key Lime Pie. π
Have a great week! π
Linking up with Biana.

those berries look amazing! I cannot wait to hear how the popsicles go – I have been looking for some trays because I have been wanting to make some of my own too!
I ordered the Zoku molds from Amazon and they work great! Extremely easy to use!
