Weekending

Happy Monday, friends!  I can’t believe it’s been two weeks since I’ve written here.  I apologize for my absence.  Kevin and I had a wonderful vacation and I promise to share plenty of pictures with you over the next couple of weeks.  For today I’ll be recapping my weekend.

FRIDAY | Kevin and I went over to our friends Beth and Adam’s house after work to meet their newest baby, Hannah.  She is the sweetest thing and slept peacefully the entire time we were there.  I got to hold her the whole time which I am definitely complaining about!  They have another daughter, Clara, who is 18 months old, and she was so much fun to watch play and run around.  I love those little girls!

After we left their house we stopped at Blaze Pizza for dinner.  I had a gluten free pizza which was delicious.

SATURDAY | I had my final women’s Bible study on Jonah in the morning.  We had a potluck brunch and I loaded up my plate with all kinds of good stuff!  Breakfast is my love language!

We had an extended time of worship this morning too which is always my favorite!

After Bible study, I met Kevin for a coffee date and then I spent the rest of the afternoon out shopping and I got my nails done.  I went with Essie – Petal Pushers which is a perfect gray/purple color.

Kevin and I spent the evening watching the first few episodes of Fuller House on Netflix.  I wasn’t expecting much from it, but it’s actually a pretty good show.  I can’t wait to watch the rest!

SUNDAY | We went to church in the morning and I got to snuggle our friends Jess and Andrew’s baby Gavin which I loved!  Afterwards Kevin and I had brunch at Jam ‘n Honey.  I ordered the Santa Fe Scramble which had black beans, tomatoes, onion, and jalapeno.  It was so good!

It was a beautiful day so we walked around Lincoln Park for a while.  We even stopped for some teas at our favorite place – David’s Tea. 

We ended the night by watching the Academy Awards.  This year I have actually seen several of the Best Picture nominees (The Big Short, The Martian, Bridge of Spies, and Spotlight) and I liked them all so it’s hard to choose which one is my favorite.
