Good morning! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Aside from the all of the rain, our weekend was a nice and relaxing one. I didn’t take many pictures so this post will be pretty short.
FRIDAY | Q BBQ recently opened in downtown Oak Park so Kevin and I walked over for dinner. I ordered the Pulled Chicken and Brussels Sprouts. They have the best Brussels sprouts!
We both went to bed around 9:30 which has become quite the norm for Friday nights around here.
SATURDAY | We were both up early on Saturday. Kevin had his group training run for the Chicago Marathon and I had yoga class. After yoga, I headed over to my friend Nicole’s apartment for our monthly book/breakfast club. Nicole made the best egg casserole (I cannot wait to share the recipe with all of you) and we had the best time talking around the table. Dinner club and breakfast club have become two of my favorite things!
It rained all day on Saturday so once I got home I pretty much stayed in the rest of the day. My sister and her boyfriend were in town for a charity gala so they stopped by for a while in the afternoon to hang out. It was great to see them!
Later that evening Kevin and I ventured out for dinner to Nando’s Peri-Peri. Nando’s opened in Oak Park on Saturday and all of the sales went to our local high school. It was really busy since it was opening day, but well worth the wait. It’s nice to have another quick dinner option in town.
After dinner we went home and watched The Detour which is hilarious! There have only been four episodes so far and I recommend watching it for some good laughs.
SUNDAY | Kevin and I went to church in the morning and then met his parents for his mom’s birthday brunch at The Clubhouse. The Clubhouse has an amazing brunch buffet.
Afterwards we went over to their house to check out the progress. Kevin and I ran a few errands and then hung out at home the rest of the evening.
