Green smoothies are a staple for me most mornings. They may not always look pretty, but I assure you they taste good and are full of nutrients! Today I am going to give some tips on how to make the perfect green smoothie!
{Step 1} Choose One (Unsweetened) Liquid – about 1 cup
Almond Milk Soy Milk Coconut Milk Coconut Water
{Step 2} Choose Your (Organic) Greens – 1 large handful
Kale Spinach Collards Swiss Chard
{Step 3} Choose Your (Organic) Fruits – 1-2 cups, fresh or frozen
Banana Strawberries Blueberries Raspberries
Mango Peaches Pineapple
{Step 4} Supercharge it! Add as many as you like 🙂
1-2 tbsp plant-based protein powder
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp ground flaxeed
1 tbsp coconut oil
1 tbsp nut butter (peanut butter, almond butter, etc.)
1-2 tsp cinnamon
{Step 5} Add a Sweetener (optional)
1 tsp stevia
1 tsp raw agave
1 tsp chopped dates
{Step 6} Blend it up!
Blend until smooth.
Note: If you use fresh fruit instead of frozen, you may need to add a few ice cubes.
