I wouldn’t consider myself a makeup connoisseur by any means. I’ve never been the girl who chooses to spend money on expensive beauty products – I’d rather by nice clothes! For years, I stuck with Cover Girl for everything. Unfortunately, I’ve always had really sensitive skin and I’ve learned over the years that spending a little extra money on better quality products is worth it in the long run. Since switching to less chemical based products, my skin has never felt better!
Today I am linking up with Jordon over at Love Always, Nancy J for The Glam Series.
{one} Arbonne Makeup Primer – My friend Beth became an Arbonne consultant last year which is when I was first introduced to this brand. I had never used a primer before trying this and I don’t how I went so many years without this! It has a silky smooth finish and I love the staying power it gives to my makeup.
{two} Arbonne Perfecting Liquid Foundation in Soft Blush – I’ve never used a foundation I love so much! For years I was a powder foundation user (I have oily skin and liked the matte look of powder) but I found myself always needing to reapply. As soon as I tried this foundation, I was hooked! It is light and doesn’t feel heavy on your face like other liquid foundations can. It goes on smoothly and blends into my skin perfectly leaving me with a flawless finish.
{three} Revlon Matte Powder Blush in Blushing Berry – Since I have oily skin, I definitely don’t need any added shine to my face. I like this blush because it gives a subtle pink color to my cheeks with a matte finish.
{four} Arbonne Creme Concealer in Light – I only use this on those days when I don’t quite get enough sleep the night before and those dreaded dark circles under my eyes appear. I find this concealer hides the dark and blends in with my foundation well.
{five} Urban Decay Naked Basics – I love this pallet of tans and browns for my eyes. I’m not one of those people who changes up their eye makeup very often so I feel this pallet gives me just enough shades to easily transition from a day to night look when needed.
{six} Pixi Eye Bright Liner in Nude – I apply this on my waterline and love the added brightness it give to my eyes in the morning. I will note it doesn’t seem to last the whole day so I have to reapply if going out at night.
{seven} Loreal Extra-Intense Liquid Pencil Eyeliner in Brown – I recently switched to this eye liner from a Cover Girl one I was using and I love it! It goes on really smoothly and provides a not too thick, not too thin line that lasts all day without “melting” off.
{eight} Loreal Voluminous Volume Building Mascara in Blackest Black – I was in the market for a new mascara and was about to give Benefit They’re Real Mascara a whirl when I read reviews for this Loreal mascara. It seemed to be just as a good for half the price. While I can’t say I’ve tried Benefit, I can say that Loreal works amazingly and I have received several compliments on how long my eyelashes are since using this mascara. Win!
{nine} E.l.f. Jumbo Lip Gloss Stick in In the Nude – After searching high and low for the perfect nude lipstick, who would’ve guessed this $3 Target find would be it! This is the perfect nude color for the days I want a subtle lip look and you can’t beat that price tag!
{ten} NYX Butter Gloss in Peaches and Cream – Thanks to Katie over at Katie Elizabeth‘s review of these lip glosses, I ran out to Ulta and picked one up for myself! I’m usually not a big lip gloss fan, but absolutely fell in love with this one! It is not sticky feeling at all and the Peaches and Cream is a perfect pink/coral color for summer. It give your lips a pop of color without being too over the top.
{eleven} EOS Smooth Sphere Lip Balm in Sweet Mint – This isn’t really in my makeup bag per say, but I definitely couldn’t live without my EOS lip balm! I never leave home without it.
What are some of your favorite makeup products?

I have never tried Arbonne products, I’ve heard great things though. The classic L’Oreal Voluminous is my all time fave!

I am so glad I discovered Loreal Voluminous! I don’t know that I will ever use another mascara again! Arbonne is awesome – a little pricey, but so worth it! You should check it out!

I do really like Benefit They’re Real, but it pains me to spend $30 on a mascara that I’ll have to toss in a couple of months. Voluminous is always a great choice! It’s easier to remove too, which is a big bonus in my books. I really love the Jordana Best Lash Extreme too – it’s crazy black so it looks great if you like minimal makeup but pumped up lashes.
Paige says
Ohh thanks for the suggestion! I’ll have to check out Jordana too! 🙂

It’s like you read my mind! As I was putting on makeup the other day, I thought to myself that I wish I knew what makeup products all my friends are using these days! Sure wish we were back in college all getting ready in the same room so we could swap tips!

Even though we’re miles a part, we still think the same things! I would give anything to go back to college and live close to all of my girlfriends again!! Miss you!
