I seriously cannot stop smiling from this weekend! My baby brother got married to the sweetest girl and it was such a fun weekend celebrating with them! I have looked at all of the pictures over and over again and I just can’t stop!
{friday}
Kevin and I flew into Mobile, AL on Thursday night and decided to explore the city a little bit before heading to the town where the wedding was taking place, which was about an hour and a half outside of Mobile. We ate lunch at Wintzell’s Oyster House on Dauphin Street.
When we were in New Orleans last summer, we tried char-grilled oysters and instantly fell in love! As soon as we saw Wintzell’s was known for the char-grilled oysters, we were sold.
The oysters at Wintzell’s were some of the biggest we have ever seen.
Even though you can order them raw, we had to go for the char-grilled. To make these, they start by placing raw oysters on a hot grill.
Then an oil/butter mixture is squirted all over them which causes the grill to flame up really big creating the char-grilled flavor.
The grilled oysters are topped with parmesan cheese and herbs and have the best smoky flavor! If you haven’t ever had a char-grilled oyster, you must head south and try them!
With our tastebuds thoroughly satisfied, we hit the road and headed north to our hotel in Jackson, AL to get ready for the rehearsal.
The wedding took place at the bride’s home church in Silas, AL where her dad is the pastor. Our dad is also a pastor so their ceremony was performed by both of the dads and one of the pastors from their college church. We ran through the ceremony a couple of times before heading off to the rehearsal dinner.
Sisters!
The rehearsal dinner was catered by a BBQ place and we had the most delicious food (the food is always better in the south)! Pulled pork, corn bread salad (will be recreating this soon), hash brown casserole – all good stuff! Forgot to take pictures of the food – oops!
Sisters with our little brother – the groom!
Me with my groom!
At the rehearsal dinner, the best man and matron/maid of honor all gave speeches and the theme that was reiterated throughout all of them was how loyal of friends both Faith and Kyle are and how much they both love Jesus and have shown others the love of Christ through the way they love others. Their relationship truly is a testimony for Christ and they are a huge example for me.
{saturday}
It’s wedding day!! My sister and I had the privilege of being bridesmaids’ in the wedding. Faith has a huge family and lots of close friends so it truly was an honor for her to ask us to be a part of her day. We started off the day with a bridal breakfast before getting ready. At the rehearsal dinner, Faith gave all of her girls the cutest monogrammed shirts in the wedding colors for us to wear to get ready in.
We spent the morning getting ready with the girls and all of Faith’s friends/family could not have been any sweeter or more welcoming to Hilary and me.

We took most of the professional pictures before the ceremony began. Kyle and Faith did not see each other before the wedding so we saved all of the pictures with them together for right after the ceremony.
Gorgeous!

Bridesmaid’s bouquet
The ceremony was beautiful and completely Christ focused. Their campus pastor talked about their story as a couple and they each shared what they admired most about each other’s spiritual life. They took communion together as a couple and we worshipped together as a congregation in song.
The flowers were absolutely beautiful and all of the little details were perfect!

After more pictures, we headed over to the reception and ate more delicious food – think brisket, macaroni and cheese, loaded potato casserole, green beans, etc. I’m telling you, people in the south know what’s up! We danced, ate yummy cake, and before we knew it was time to send off the bride and groom! Here are a few pictures to recap the reception:
Faith was such a beautiful bride and I could not be happier for her and my brother. We are so happy to officially add her as part of our family!
