Since Kevin started eating gluten free last fall, I am constantly searching for new recipes to make. It’s pretty easy to effortlessly cook gluten free meals, but baking has been where I’ve had to learn new techniques. Enter Against the Grain.
This cookbook has hundreds of gluten free recipes from real, all-natural ingredients. In addition to the recipes, the cookbook also provides the fundamentals of gluten free baking including techniques, basic tools, and different varieties of gluten free flours.
The recipes in the cookbook are broken down into different categories: Bread and Flatbreads, Breakfast Foods and Muffins, Savories, Cookies and Bars, Cakes, and Pies and Desserts. Here are some of my favorites so far:
Bourbon-Laced Kentucky Derby Cake
Bacon-Parmesan Scones
Mini Orange Teacakes
