Happy Friday!! I’m so glad it’s finally the weekend and I have absolutely nothing on the agenda which you will not find me complaining about. Today I am sharing five of my favorite things from this week!
ONE | This week some of my sweet girlfriends and I started a monthly dinner club. Each month we will be getting together at a different person’s home for dinner around the table. This month’s theme was summer BBQ and we had lots of yummy dishes like pork, mac and cheese, kale salad, and blueberry crisp! We had such a fun time and I am looking forward to this new tradition. π
TWO | I ordered these popsicle molds from Amazon this week and it was the best decision ever! We made pineapple coconut popsicles this week which turned out so good! I can’t wait to try different flavors. I’m thinking strawberry lime next.
THREE | Kevin’s mom brought us the cutest mini bundt cakes from Nothing Bundt Cakes and I loved the beautiful wrapping! The cakes were both delicious but I especially loved the gluten free chocolate chip one.
FOUR | Last night my friend Callie and I attended the Green City Market Chef BBQ which is the annual fundraising event for the Green City Market in Lincoln Park. The event featured over 100 Chicago restaurants which created tasting portions of dishes made from produce and meat sourced from the Green City Market vendors. Even though it started raining half way through the event, we still had a great time and ate tons of delicious food! Two of my favorites were the Fried Chicken Salad Sandwich from Honey Butter Fried Chicken and the Duck Fat Chicago Style Hot Dog from The Duck Inn.
FIVE | Last but not least yesterday was my dad’s birthday! Happy Birthday, Dad!!
Have a wonderful weekend! π

From just reading this 5 on Friday, I would have to say I want to be you π I have been thinking forever about starting a dinner club – so fun. The Green City Market Chef BBQ sounds like an amazingly delicious event. I am super envious of all the diverse foods the city offers. My friend lived in Chicago when I visited I had Panang Curry that years later I still think about – ultimate comfort food. I look forward to seeing more of your food adventures.

You should definitely start a dinner club – I’m already loving it and it’s such an easy way to have a standing date on the calendar to get together with friends!

The dinner club sounds like so much fun, and such an easy way to get together with friends consistently! Nothing Bundt Cakes is seriously the best! I could totally do without Sprinkles cupcakes as long as I could get some mini bundt cakes.
Paige says
Agreed – I’m not a big icing fan so I’d much rather have a mini bundt cake than cupcake with tons of icing!
