TGIF!! I don’t think I’ve ever meant that more than today! It has been an extremely stressful week for me and I am ready for some down time away from work. I’m looking forward to another weekend of no plans and getting things ready to leave for vacation next week. Here are five of the good, non-stressful things from my week:
ONE | My sister was in town last weekend for a friend’s Bachelorette party and I got to hang out with her on Sunday which was a great way to kick off my week!
TWO | My cousins, Rob and Abby, were visiting Chicago this week and Kevin and I met them for dinner on Tuesday at Labriola. They have three sweet little boys and we loved getting to see them! I, of course, ordered a margherita pizza which was delish!
THREE | On Wednesday Kevin and I had a picnic for dinner in Millennium Park. We enjoyed one of the free concerts from the Grant Park Orchestra which was great as always. It was a beautiful night and the perfect way to end the day.
FOUR | For this week’s batch of popsicles I made blueberry, basil, and lime ones with the juice I picked up from Owen + Alchemy and they are so good! You can really taste the basil which is a fun twist.
FIVE | I have been enjoying reading through the daily devotionals in Savor by my favorite author, Shauna Niequist. Always a bright spot in my day!
Have a wonderful weekend!
This post reminded me that I have to try and find popsicle trays!! Besides the stress at work it looks like you had a good week – hope you have a nice relaxing weekend ๐
Thanks, Torry! I hope you are having a great weekend too!

What a genius idea!! O+A juice is so incredibly flavorful, I never thought to make popsicles with it!!
The juice is perfect in popsicle form! So much flavor!

I just love reading people’s randoms. You live in Chicago, lucky girl. I am just outside of Milwaukee & have been talking about going to Chicago for ages. We just haven’t done it. Neither of us wants to drive there …. & I don’t know how I would do on a train. My options are limited, it would be a very long walk!
Milwaukee is so close to Chicago! My husband and I were actually just saying we need to drive to Milwaukee for a weekend!

I would have never thought to put basil in a popsicle. Interesting idea! Hope you have a relaxing weekend ๐
The basil was so good in the popsicles! I loved it paired with the blueberry!

The popsicles look great. I just bought some popsicle molds but I haven’t had a chance to use them yet. And I’ve never read Savor – but I’ve read a few other books by Shauna Niequest and I really enjoyed them.
I love Shauna Niequist! Savor is more of a daily devotional than a book you sit down and read. I still love it though!
