Happy Monday! It’s always harder to start a new work week after a great weekend. I had a fun weekend filled with lots of celebrating. Here is what I was up to:
FRIDAY | Friday was our friend Matt’s birthday so Kevin and I met him, Ashton, and his brother Phil for dinner at Weber Grill to celebrate! The boys all ordered ribs and Ashton and I both got the Mediterranean Vegetable Salad which was delicious.
SATURDAY | I had the second week of my women’s Bible study at church to start off my morning.
Afterwards Kevin and I went to Panera for lunch. We set up shop at our table for a while and started planning our upcoming vacation.
We ran a few errands after lunch and I even fell asleep once we got home for a quick nap which never happens. Later that evening we headed back into the city to celebrate Kevin’s cousin Sarah’s birthday. Her party was at Glascott’s in Lincoln Park and a bunch of his cousins came so it was fun to hang out with them for the night.
SUNDAY | We went to church in the morning and then stopped for breakfast at George’s Pancake House. I had the Vegetarian Skillet which was good. After breakfast we headed home to watch the Purdue basketball game.
Later that afternoon I went to a baby shower for my friend Callie. Callie is due in February and expecting a sweet baby boy. Her shower was so much fun and every little detail was so thoughtfully put together by the hostesses. I can’t wait to meet little Elijah!
Once I got home Kevin and I watched a couple of episodes of Master of None on Netflix before going to bed.
I hope you all had a good weekend!
That salad looks amazing!!
I love a good restaurant salad! They just never taste the same when I try to recreate them at home.
The decorations for the baby shower are pretty. My niece is due to have a baby boy in April. The family is excited. How do you like the Jonah study? I’m doing a study with my small group using The Armor of God book. It’s very good.
I’m really enjoying the Jonah study! I’m learning a lot more about him than the childhood story we all know if him getting swallowed by a whale.
