Hi! Welcome to Tomatoes for Cucumbers. I decided to start this blog as a way to document my life, review the restaurants I visit, share some of my favorite recipes, and write about the places I travel.
You may be wondering why Tomatoes for Cucumbers? Well, my husband actually came up with the name. You see, he doesn’t care for tomatoes and I don’t like cucumbers. Whenever we eat salads, the first thing we do is swap his tomatoes for my cucumbers. Tomatoes for Cucumbers was born while we were out to dinner at a local Italian restaurant one night.
So…a little about me. I’m Paige – a 28 year old with a passion for people, food, and fashion. I graduated from Purdue University in 2007 and moved to Chicago in 2008. I work in Enrollment Management and Marketing at a local University. I married my college sweetheart, Kevin, in 2010. My husband and I love to travel as much as possible while also exploring our own great city. Chicago has so many great restaurants and we love the experience of dining out. My favorite food is pizza and I could eat Italian food every single day. I love to cook, bake, and entertain friends by hosting parties. I also love shopping and clothes – you can often find charges at Target, J. Crew, Gap, and Loft on my credit card.
I am excited for this blog to be an outlet for me to write about myself and use what little creative juices I may have. Thanks for stopping by – I hope your enjoy your stay at Tomatoes for Cucumbers.
xoxo – Paige
