Good morning, friends! I am typing this as I am watching the SNL 40 special so I apologize for any typos or thoughts that don’t make sense. I hope you all watched this because it’s hilarious! As usual, here is what I was up to this weekend:
FRIDAY | Like I mentioned last week, Kevin and I had the opportunity to the attend the First Look for Charity event at the Chicago Auto Show.
The attire was black tie so it was fun to get dressed up for an evening.
We had fun checking out all of the newest car models and pretending we had $2.6 million to buy this Bugatti.
The best part of the night was Cadillac giving out pink slippers! Definitely switched out of my heels to walk around in these babies for the rest of the night.
SATURDAY | Unfortunately, I overslept and didn’t wake up in time to make it to Bible study on time…oops! Since I was home, Kevin and I decided to go out for breakfast. We went to Delia’s Kitchen and I had the gluten free french toast. They even added a heart shaped marshmallow for Valentine’s Day – so cute!
Afterwards I dropped Kevin off at home so he could work on his paper for school and I ran errands the rest of the afternoon.
We celebrated Valentine’s Day that evening in our traditional way by going out to dinner to Francesca’s on Chestnut. We had the best sauteed calamari with capers, spinach, tomatoes, garlic, lemon, and olive oil. The lighting in the restaurant was very dim so I apologize for the dark picture.
On our way home we made a quick stop in Stan’s Donuts to pick up some gluten free donuts for dessert. Perfection!
SUNDAY | We headed to church first thing where we continued in the series “12 Marks of a Christian”. This week’s sermon was on “Follow” where we were asked the question are we more of a fan of Jesus or a follower of Jesus?
Afterwards we had brunch at Hub 51. I had some delicious breakfast tacos!
The rest of the day was spent prepping lunches for the week and watching Lifetime movies. 🙂
Hope you all had a great weekend!
