Good morning and happy Monday! I hope you all had a good weekend. Today’s post will be short and sweet because my weekend was pretty low key. Here’s what I was up to:
FRIDAY | After work Kevin and I had dinner at a new (to us) restaurant near our house called Autre Monde. The menu is Mediterranean style tapas and everything we tried was delicious! One of the dishes I especially loved with the Spring Gnocchi. Full review on this restaurant tomorrow!
After dinner we walked next door to Gina’s for some of her famous Italian Ice.
The rain held off and it turned out to be a nice night so we decided last minute to drive out to the Downtown Downers Grove Classic Car Show and walk around for a while before heading back home.
SATURDAY | It literally rained all day on Saturday so I worked on projects around the house while Kevin did homework. I did run out to get us some coffee in the morning and then made a batch of these Lemon Blackberry Breakfast Cookies.
I spent the rest of the day tackling our storage unit in the basement. I was able to clean out a bunch of boxes and donate some things to Goodwill.
We picked up Chipotle for a late lunch/early dinner and then spent the evening watching the Hawks game.
SUNDAY | We started our morning at church and heard a great message on the importance of rest and not glorifying busyness which I can definitely be guilty of doing. It was perfect timing too because I was sort of feeling bad for not having any big plans this weekend which is really silly, I know. After church Kevin and I had brunch at Dove’s Luncheonette in Wicker Park. I had the most delicious shrimp and eggs dish!
After brunch I ran some errands including dropping off our Goodwill donations from Saturday and grocery shopping. I even got in a little Sunday afternoon nap. ๐ We spent the evening watching a few episodes of Bloodline on Netflix.
Have a wonderful week!
Linking up with Biana.

We only got through the first 4 episodes but so far I love it! It started out a little slow but it’s really starting to get good!
