Happy Friday! I hope you all had a wonderful week. We have a full but relaxing weekend planned and am looking forward to another weekend of fun. Here are my five thoughts for this Friday.
ONE | This afternoon Kevin and I are driving up to Lake Geneva, WI for the weekend. Around this time last year I drove up with my friend Callie for our church’s annual women’s retreat and we had so much fun! Sadly the retreat isn’t happening this year and I was pretty bummed so Kevin booked us a room at the hotel we stayed at last year for a mini-vacay! The Grand Geneva is gorgeous so I’m pretty excited to go back and just explore the area. We love Lake Geneva and think it’s the cutest little town. Here is a picture of the pumpkins the hotel had on display last year.
TWO | Sunday is the Chicago Marathon and this year my sister is running! She will be running for an amazing organization she volunteers with called GRIP Outreach for Youth. To learn more about the organization and to donate in support of Hilary you can go here. We’re super excited to cheer her on during her first marathon on Sunday! This is a picture of her after a half marathon she ran in May.
THREE | This week I took a stroll down Michigan Ave one day at lunch and they had the most festive fall displays. I love the big white pumpkins!
FOUR | Kevin and I regularly talk on G-chat throughout the day at work. Yesterday he was telling me about a new flight route being added and I cracked up when we both said the same thing at the same time. Full House lovers unite!
FIVE | Yesterday I read this post from Heartbeet Kitchen and nearly fell out of my chair with my excitement! A kale + Brussels sprouts hybrid?? Yes, please! I immediately went to their Facebook page to see where I can get my hands on these babies and apparently Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s have them. I will now officially be on the hunt for kalletes! Has anyone tried these??
What’s on the agenda for you this weekend? Anyone else running the Chicago Marathon?
Linking up with Christina, April, Karli, Heather, Erika, and Andrea.

Hi Paige,
Those pumpkin displays are beautiful and really put the feeling of fall in the air. I wish my town had displays like that. I have to resort to creepy-ly staring at peoples front porch displays as I walk past their houses.
Have a great weekend!

I love looking at how other people decorate their homes too! I’ve been known to creepily stop and look at houses too 😉
