Hi friends!! How was your weekend? Mine was pretty uneventful due to some cancellation of plans, but it turned out to be perfect because I got a ton of errands done and was able to be outside and enjoy the beautiful weather! I even wore shorts on both Saturday and Sunday – finally! Flowers are in full bloom everywhere which makes me so happy!
{Friday}
After work I met Kevin at one of our favorite neighborhood bars – Poor Phil’s. Poor Phil’s is a stone’s throw away from our condo and one of our favorite low key spots. They have over 70 bottles and 36 draft beers on tap so it’s definitely a great place to go to try new craft beers. They are also known for their oysters and seafood. I had the shrimp po’boy and Kevin got fish and chips. We were able to sit outside on their patio and enjoy the weather while sipping our drinks and enjoying our meals.
After dinner we headed home for the night so Kevin could start working on a paper he had due for school. I decided to catch up on the DVR while he worked.
{Saturday}
Kevin spent the entire day working on a research paper for school. I started my morning off at Panera with their Mediterranean Egg White Sandwich and Hazelnut Coffee (duh) while working on my weekly Bible study.
After breakfast, I spent the rest of the morning and afternoon running errands and shopping. I picked up a new pair of jeans on major sale at the Gap and finally got a denim jacket which I’ve been wanting. Kevin took a break from writing his paper so I met him for lunch in between shopping stops. We walked over to Piggyback Tavern and grabbed some BBQ. I had the smokehouse salad which is topped with pulled chicken and fried green tomatoes. It’s definitely big enough to get two meals out of.
I also took advantage of the last day of Starbucks Frappucino Happy Hour and finally tried the Mocha Cookie Crumble. Seriously so good! It might be my official summer treat.
{Sunday}
Happy Mother’s Day! My mom was in Louisville visiting her mom this weekend so didn’t get to see her, but I will be with her all next weekend and I can’t wait for some family time. There was baby dedication at church this morning which is one of my favorite things! I love seeing all of the cute babies and hearing the Bible verses each of their parents pick for them. After lunch I did the grocery shopping for the week, some cleaning, and blogging. I picked up a case of Miller Lite in the original cans and Kev was one happy guy after his paper was finished.
I also picked up some lovely tulips and was in good company with all of the dads and little kids picking up flowers for their moms – so sweet!
Hope you all had a fantastic weekend! This was my last low key one for a while as I have lot of exciting travels coming up for the next few so I definitely enjoyed the down time! Have a great week!
xoxo – Paige

I absolutely love your weekend plans! They look so similar to mine and I definitely need to try that cookie crumble frapp from Starbucks! Maybe it’ll be my vacation treat on the way to the airport at 4am!
