Good morning! How was your weekend? I feel like my weekends lately have been pretty routine. I’ve noticed that during January and February things are usually pretty quiet around here, but once March rolls around we are pretty busy most weekends through the rest of the year. That being said, I apologize for another post completely made up of pictures of the food I ate.
FRIDAY | Kevin and I walked to Poor Phil’s for their happy hour special. From 4-6 PM they have $1 oysters and shrimp which is such a discount from the normal prices. I couldn’t eat the cocktail sauce so I had my first “naked” oyster which was still good!
Afterwards we made a Costco run and then came home and watched some shows on the DVR. #marriedlife
SATURDAY | I went to my women’s Bible study in the morning and then came home to run some errands. Kevin is taking a class right now that meets all day on Saturday so I was on my own. I did some grocery shopping and made a huge salad with balsamic vinegar from the Whole Foods salad bar for lunch.
I came home and ate my salad while watching If I Stay on Netflix. I thought the movie was just ok. It was pretty slow moving so I lost interest. Even though it was freezing outside, the sun was shining and the skies were blue so I headed back out and this time ended up at Home Goods and Target. I ended up roaming around both of those stores for a while and picked up these cute new gladiator sandals at Target.
I also spent some of the afternoon catching up on the latest Bachelor gossip. Who’s excited for the Women Tell All tonight??
After Kevin got home from school we went to dinner at Prasino. This was our first time checking out this restaurant and we both loved it! I had the best lobster stuffed avocado with a pineapple salsa! I wasn’t able to eat the beurre blanc sauce since it wasn’t Whole 30 compliant, but honestly the dish was great without it!
SUNDAY | We went to church in the morning and heard a great sermon on how to pray. Our pastor broke down each line of the Lord’s Prayer and gave the congregation an opportunity to pray out loud with the people around you after each part of the prayer. It was kind of awkward at first, but actually ended up being really awesome. After church we ate brunch at one of my favorite places – Buzz Cafe. I ordered the organic egg breakfast with sausage and hashbrowns and definitely had to bring home half of the plate.
I spent the rest of the afternoon putting away laundry and itemizing all of the Goodwill donations I collected from cleaning out closets last weekend. We ended the night watching the Purdue/Ohio State basketball game which unfortunately resulted in a loss for Purdue.
Hope you all had a great weekend! 🙂

I love the message behind your sermon on Sunday. Finding a local church is on my to do list for the next month! So much good food per usual and stop it with the $1 oysters!

We love our church! Finding a church you love is one of the best things you can do! And yeah $1 oyster happy hour is the best!
