In Chicago, St. Patrick’s Day is a huge deal. We dye our river bright green, have a big South Side Irish Parade, and you can guarantee every single Irish pub (every bar for that matter) will be full of people with green beer in hand. The weekend before St. Patrick’s Day is pretty much crazy town around here and although I can’t say that I choose to celebrate the holiday the “Chirish” way, I do enjoy going out for some Irish fare like a reuben or corned beef and cabbage.
Today I am rounding up some festive recipes that would be perfect for St. Patrick’s Day. Unfortunately, I will have to put these indulgences on hold until I finish the Whole 30 program, but definitely plan on making one of these treats for us to celebrate with a week late.
Lucky Charms Treats via Lady and the Blog
Mint and Chocolate Fudge Oreo Bars via Averie Cooks
Bailey’s Irish Cream Cheesecake Brownies via Laura’s Sweet Spot
Lucky Charms Swirled Bundt Cake via Chelsea’s Messy Apron
Guinness Stout Brownie Pretzel Bars via Hostess with the Mostess
Do you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? What are some of your favorite treats to make?

I will take these treats over corned beef and cabbage ANY day! Also, I made the easiest Lucky Charms Chex Mix and it was so awesome to snack on (and devour): http://fancykins.com/2015/02/friday-fave-lucky-charms-chex-mix-is-all-i-need-in-my-life-today-and-always/. You’ve got to try it, it’s so easy to put in little treat bags and share with coworkers and friends on St. Patrick’s Day 🙂
