Happy Friday! We had a little bit of a heat wave here this week with temps reaching 30 degrees and the sun was shining! Tomorrow is even supposed to have a high of 40! It’s almost spring…kind of. Either way, I’ll take it! Another low key weekend on the agenda for us. Whatever you are up to, I hope it’s a good one!
Here is today’s Friday Five:
ONE | A quick PSA that Ulta is having one of their sales on all jumbo size shampoo and conditioner through January 24th ($12.99-$21.99). You get a free pump with any liter bottle purchase too. They also currently have a coupon for $3.50 off $10. I went last weekend and stocked up which was perfect timing because I had just run out of conditioner. These bottles last me about 6 months so I really only need to buy them twice a year.
TWO | Has anyone tried the new beverage at Starbucks? The Flat White is made from ristretto shots of espresso which are supposed to contain less water than a normal shot of espresso which is what differentiates this drink from a regular latte. What is your opinion? Can you tell a difference? I’ve been sticking with my daily Iced Green Tea even in the winter. I just love their green tea so much!
THREE | I bought this veggie spiralizer and made my first batch of zucchini noodles or “zoodles” this week for dinner. I was a fan, but Kevin not so much. He tolerated them but said he prefers regular pasta noodles. The zucchini has a lot of water in them so I let them sweat in a strainer for a while and then squeezed out all of the extra water, but they were still a little watery. Any tips on perfecting zoodles?
FOUR | Another dinner I made this week was this Crockpot Braised Beef Ragu with Polenta from Pinch of Yum and it was so good! Aren’t crockpot recipes the best? I highly recommend making this one!
FIVE | One of my new favorite apps is Kristin Cavallari’s Official app. It’s free to download and she provides lots of healthy recipes and workout tips. She also posts a lot of health related articles. I love following her on Instagram too. She is pretty much my girl crush and I am loving her long bob she is currently rocking.
Linking up with Christina, April, Natasha, Darci, Karli, and Amy.

Add salt to the zoodles while you let them sweat. That will help suck out even more moisture.

Good idea! Thanks for the tip!
