It’s been a while since I’ve done a What I Ate Wednesday post so I thought I would write one for today and include a look at what a typical week day looks like for me.
6:30 AM: Alarm goes off, snooze until 7 AM (sometimes longer)
7:00 AM: Read email, the Skimm, and check Facebook/Instagram on my phone
7:30 AM: Get ready for the day
8:00 AM: Make smoothie and pack lunch
8:15 AM: Walk to train for my commute to work
9:00 AM: Arrive at work
9:15 AM: Eat breakfast at my desk while I check email – today was a tropical green smoothie with frozen banana, frozen mango, spinach, cucumber, chia seeds, and unsweetened vanilla almond milk
11:15 AM: Morning snack – today was raspberries and a string cheese
1:00 PM: When it’s nice out I always go outside and take walks on my lunch break to get in steps. This week I explored Maggie Daley Park which has awesome views of the city!
2:00 PM: Eat lunch at my desk while working – this week I have been having spinach salads with zucchini, tomatoes, carrots, bell pepper, and avocado along with my daily Starbucks Iced Green Tea.
3:30 PM: Afternoon snack – today was hummus with Nut Thins. I also love snacking on apples with peanut butter.
5:00 PM: Pack up and head home
6:00 PM: Workout at home – lately I’ve been doing the Beachbody 21 Day Fix DVDs or I’ll go on a long walk around the neighborhood
6:45 PM: Start working on dinner
7:15 PM: Eat dinner – tonight was chicken with an olive and caper tapenade, roasted sweet potatoes and potatoes, and asparagus
8:00 PM: Clean kitchen
8:30 PM: Shower
9:00 PM: Watch TV and blog
10:30 PM: Bed
That’s pretty much what a typical day looks like for me. In addition to all of my eats I also try to drink at least 75 oz of water throughout the day which I’m pretty good about doing.

That is a gorgeous park! I love taking midday walks. I’m on a smoothie kick right now – will have to try adding cucumber!
Paige says
Isn’t that park amazing?? It is one of my new favorite places! This was my first time adding cucumber to my smoothies and I really liked the added flavor – super refreshing!

I also love Nut Thins with hummus! It’s the perfect snack!

Isn’t it the best? One of my favorite snacks for sure!

Megan says
Do you make the shake once you get to work, or make it at home?
Paige says
I make it home right before I leave and then drink it once I get to work – it actually stays really cold!

9-5 jobs still exist??? That’s amazing! LOL and I’m jealous. I need to get my routine to look more like yours. Most of the time I feel like I’m running around like a chicken with my head cut off and grasping at straws or random unhealthy snacks bc I’m starving and forgot about food.
Paige says
Ha! Yep – I have a 9-5 job and it’s pretty great to not have to think about work outside of the office.
