Good morning and happy Monday! I had a wonderfully fun and relaxing weekend which was fantastic. This is a short week for me because Kevin and I leave for vacation on Friday morning and it couldn’t come at a better time! We will be spending a day in Charleston and then joining several of our friends for a week in Hilton Head Island. We can’t wait! Until then I will try to make it through another work week. Here is a look at my weekending adventures:
FRIDAY | Kevin and I left work early that afternoon and played 9-holes of golf together. Even though I am terrible at golf, I really enjoy playing together! π
We stopped for dinner at Standard Market Grill and were able to snag a table outside which was great. I had a BBQ Chicken Sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries which was delicious!
After dinner we got ice cream from Tasty Treat. I got Rum Raisin which was so good! This giant cup is considered one scoop and only cost $1.90! What a deal!
We walked around while we ate our ice cream and ended up sitting outside watching a random Little League baseball game which brought back so many memories of my childhood summers!
SATURDAY | Kevin had an early morning tee time to play golf so while he was gone I made myself a breakfast smoothie and drank it while watching Real Housewives in bed. The best!
Once Kevin got home we headed out for the day and met his parents for lunch at Egg Harbor Cafe. I ordered the Santa Fe Roll Up which is what I typically order. They have the best chicken salad and poppyseed salad dressing!
We walked around the Downtown Downers Grove sidewalk sale and checked out some cute boutiques and then ran a bunch of errands before coming back home. We had dinner on the beautiful patio at Maya del Sol and I ordered a crab salad. I was expecting a lettuce base salad with crab meat on top so what I got was completely different than I expected, but it still tasted good.
This weekend Forest Park was hosting the National No Glove 16 Inch Softball Tournament so we went over there and watched a couple of games after dinner. There were tons of people and it was really fun way to spend the evening.
SUNDAY | We went to church in the morning and then had a delicious brunch on the patio at Mon Ami Gabi. Is this not the most perfect looking omelet you’ve ever seen??
After brunch we walked across the street to Lincoln Park Zoo. It was the perfect day to be outside and walk around the zoo.
And of course you can’t beat the amazing skyline views!
We spent the rest of the day hanging out at home! I hope you all had a great weekend! π
Linking up with Biana.

what a fun weekend – I caught up on the RHONY last night. I haven’t watched the past few seasons but since Bethany is back I decided to watch and I am loving it. The housewives (each city) gets me – I have to catch up on OC I am a few weeks behind

I am also addicted to the Housewives franchise! I really only watch the OC and NYC anymore. My fav is still the OC!
