I was first introduced to Crosby’s Kitchen last year by my sister who used to live a couple of blocks from the restaurant. I was hooked from my first visit and have gone back several times since. We have even introduced some out of town guests to Crosby’s.
Crosby’s Kitchen is known for their rotisserie meats and the delicious smell of the rotisserie is always the first thing you notice when you walk in. They always serve their rotisserie chicken and have other special meats like their pork chop and filet of beef on certain nights of the week. On the weekends they offer Prime Rib that is salt and pepper crusted and is served with a side of mashed potatoes and au jus.
Even though they are known for their slow-cooked meats, some of my favorite dishes to order at Crosby’s are their salads. One in particular I love is the Wrightwood Salad which is topped with the Rotisserie Chicken, Tomatoes, Craisins, Avocado, Goat Cheese, Corn, Almonds, Cornbread Croutons, and tossed with a Citrus Vinaigrette.
Another one of my favorite salads that I keep going back for is their Brussels Sprout Salad. This salad has lightly blanched Brussels Sprouts as the base and is topped with Dried Blueberries, Bacon, Almonds, Manchego Cheese, and is tossed in Lemon Vinaigrette.
Another dish that is a must order at Crosby’s is their Iron Skillet Cornbread that is served with Maple Butter. Seriously, this cornbread is dangerously good! I dare you to try and eat just one piece!
Crosby’s Kitchen is a casual and comfortable place that will make you feel right at home. It’s perfect for a family dinner out or a fun date night. I highly recommend checking out Crosby’s especially during these colder months as their comfort food is the perfect dinner to warm up with!
Crosby’s Kitchen is located at 3455 N. Southport Ave. in Chicago’s Southport Corridor
